About Jada Bug
Jada Bug is a 5-year-old dedicated therapy dog and blood donor, making a positive impact on the lives of many. **See screenshots of evidence at the bottom**
Therapy Dog and Blood Donor
- Therapy Dog: Jada Bug has been volunteering with the Australian non-profit, Paws Pet Therapy, since 2020. Alongside her owner, she visits hospitals, schools, aged care/retirement homes, and crisis shelters for homeless teenage girls, providing valuable support as only therapy dogs can. She has even organized a special Christmas for homeless teenagers through generous crowdsourcing of gifts.
- In recognition of her outstanding service, she was awarded the "Volunteering Excellence" award in 2022.
- Blood Donation: Before our recent move to Adelaide, Jada Bug regularly donated blood at the Sydney University Vet & Emergency Clinic, saving the lives of other dogs undergoing surgery. If she needs surgery for her tumours, she will now be on the receiving end of this lifesaving care.
Two Adrenal Gland Tumours
Jada Bug recently fell ill, showing symptoms that initially appeared to be gastro. However, after a visit to the vet and emergency vet, an ultrasound revealed a mass, the presence of two adrenal gland tumours. One of these tumours is encroaching on her vena cava artery near her heart. Biopsy results are pending to determine if the tumours are non-functioning, benign, or cancerous.
Jada Bug's Spirit
Despite her health challenges, Jada Bug remains a therapy dog at heart, offering comfort and cuddles to other pet parents at the vet waiting rooms. Her loving nature shines through, even during tough times.
The Road Ahead
We are hopeful that Jada Bug's tumours can be surgically removed and that they are not cancerous. Our focus is on her full recovery, and we appreciate the support and well-wishes from everyone who knows and loves Jada Bug. Updates on her condition will be provided as we receive them.
Support Jada Bug
Your thoughts and positive support mean the world to us during this difficult time. If you wish to contribute further, any donation that helps cover Jada Bug's treatment expenses is greatly appreciated.
We want Jada Bug to regain her health so she can continue spreading joy to everyone she encounters, whether on walks, with her family, or while volunteering with those in need.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
Evidence:
- Our insurance coverage only extends to a percentage of Jada's vet bills, leaving a substantial financial burden on us.
- In support of transparency, we have provided screenshots below displaying recent insurance payouts related to this campaign.
- We are swiftly approaching our annual insurance limit. Once reached, no further percentage of Jada's vet bills will be covered by the insurance policy.
- It's important to note that Jada's essential surgery is still pending, and the costs are yet to be covered.
- Apologies for the screenshots of screenshots, GoFundMe only upload photos with certain dimensions, and these were originally taken on my phone.
