Help Jaden Doher Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Jaden is a 7th grader at The Bromfield School in Harvard, Mass., who is active in basketball, soccer, and drama. On December 18th, 2017, she was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

We are fortunate to live in an area where some of the best medical care in the country is available, but it comes at a cost. During the first month of Jaden’s treatment she spent four weeks at Boston Children’s Hospital; the cost for that month alone was $224,000.

Since that time, Jaden will return for a second round of in-hospital chemotherapy at the end of February followed by a third round in the hospital in March. She also undergoes outpatient chemo at Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund Clinic two days a week and at home four days a week. Jaden’s treatment will change over time, but it will certainly include several more hospitalizations for intensive chemotherapy and anticipated side effects. She will receive cancer treatment for a minimum of two years.

Jaden’s family is now waiting for the insurance company to tell them what their copays and cost share will be. The expectation is that their cost share will be thousands of dollars. We would like to help Jaden’s family offset these unforeseen costs.
