Jadyn needs our help to fight Adrenal Cancer
Life has recently thrown a pretty scary curveball Jadyn’s way in the form of a large adrenal mass that requires immediate surgery. There are still a lot of questions that the doctors are working on answering, but at this point Jadyn will be undergoing surgery on August 12 to have the grapefruit-sized mass removed and biopsied. All testing thus far points to it being benign. We are very anxious to have this confirmed.
The renal and cardiovascular specialists performing the surgery expect it to take 6 hours with Jadyn staying 5-7 days in the hospital thereafter. Then they anticipate at least six weeks of recovery time postop. During her recovery, Jadyn will be focused on rest and healing. They anticipate that she should be able to be fairly functional, however she will not be able to live life as she usually does. Specifically, she will not be able to work her serving positions at both South Restaurant and the Bears Tooth. With limited savings and other resources, Jadyn is concerned about the financial aspect of this situation.
Anyone who knows Jadyn can attest that she is full of positivity and gratitude. She’s exuberant and strong, with a proclivity for adventure and a vivacious smile. She is also generous, thoughtful and kind. She truly wants to make the world a better place- a goal which she chips away at daily in so many different ways.
Right now, Jadyn needs our support. She needs our love, positivity, and consideration. She needs encouragement and understanding.
One way that we can help to ease some of Jadyn’s stress and allow her to focus solely on her health would be to help in taking care of the day to day expenses while she is recovering. Any assistance you can provide will help with living costs (rent, utilities, groceries and other expenses) and potentially the medical costs which are unknown at this time.
This is a dynamic situation and I will do my best to keep everyone updated. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
