Help Jaeger get new hips

Hi I’m Erin, mama of Jaeger Aka Jagermeister.

Jaeger is a 14 month old husky x kelpie (cross a few other things) who joined our family through a rescue at 12 weeks old.

this boy had a bit of a rough start. His fur mama found herself in a pound, after the staff realised she was heavily pregnant, the reached out to a rescue group for help. She was transported to an amazing rescue group that loves every dog as their own. Two weeks later Jaeger and his litter mates joined us earthside.

Sadly after two weeks their mama passed away, thankgoodness they were already in the best rescue, from there they were hand reared until they had all their vaccinations and were ready to go.

Jaeger was the biggest in the litter and we knew that this baby giant was the perfect fit for our family.

He slotted in well.

Over winter we noticed he was starting to limp and cry when trying to get up. After vet visits and X-rays we found he has severe hip dysplasia. The vet said on a scale of 1-10 (1 being mild, 10 being the worst case ever) he sits at about an 8 which is pretty bad.

His quality of life has deteriorated, and he started getting depressed so we went to a specialist to find out what we could do.

We expected high fees and knew that could be what was in store for us. And it was higher than we thought.

This goal will get us over half way. This joy deserves to run and jump and be the adventure dog he always wanted to be.
