Hi, I’m sharing this on behalf of Jahari George’s parents, Mike and TeAnna George. They sincerely appreciate all the love, prayers, and condolences on the tragic loss of their son Jahari George.

Jahari was a 20 year old junior at Norfolk State University who tragically lost his life during an off-campus shooting on 2 September. Details are still unfolding and we ask that everyone continue to pray for the George family. We also ask that you keep his Spartan family in your prayers.

Jahari was a wonderful young man with an amazing light. He was extremely compassionate, loving and caring. All those that knew him, loved him. He was a true bright star.

As we all mourn their loss, we created this Gofundme page in efforts to raise funds to assist the family with any unforeseen expenses related to the burial process. The funds will also be used to help cover current expenses. Jahari’s parents are staying in the Norfolk area until the investigation is complete and they are able to bring Jahari home.
