Jahkai in the NSWPSSA State Rugby Union Squad

My son Jahkai has been selected to be in the NSWPSSA State Rugby Union Squad. We were so overwhelmed with joy and pride in his selection, as any parent would be. However, we need your help to get him there as we cannot afford the costs involved and don't want Jahkai to miss out on this amazing opportunity.

ABOUT JAHKAI

Jahkai is an 11-year-old Aboriginal boy from Sydney's Redfern and Glebe community. Jahkai is the older brother of 2 sisters and has shown a passion for rugby union. Jahkai never misses a training session, and has also been selected in the NRL Sydney Rooster's Development Squad.

Jahkai has been playing rugby union for two years and has a natural talent and gift for the sport. A committed and passionate aspiring rugby player who participated in 3 trials to be selected in the NSWPSSA Rugby Union Squad.

ABOUT THE NSWPSSA STATE RUGBY SQUAD

The NSWPSSA Rugby Union Squad has a rich history. It has produced several representative players, including current Wallabies captain Michael Hooper, and Super Rugby stars, Scott Sio, Cameron Clark, Andrew Kellaway, Lachain Swinton and Harrison Goodard.

The squad provides a higher level of representation in rugby with a deeper understanding of the game and an opportunity to adapt, absorb and create.

Learning different ways of playing under additional coaching, attacking structures, styles of plays and expectations, player feedback, defensive structures, and more.

The squad training takes place on Saturday 1st to 3rd October in Gold Coast Queensland. Travel and accommodation are not covered, and we also need to raise funds to participate in the squad.

WHAT WILL THE FUNDS BE USED FOR

If you want to support the rugby development and aspirations of an upcoming young Aboriginal superstar both now and in the future, we ask for your support. Your support will contribute towards the costs for Jahkai to actively participate in the squad, travel and accommodation.
