Jamie Hrushowy: A Cancer Battle Fund

Hi everyone,

If you're hearing/reading this for the first time - two years ago, Jamie was diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive cancer via a tumour in his sinus cavity. It was SO rare in fact, that it had doctors and specialists from all over the world clamouring like mad scientists for a chance to get a piece of it under a microscope.

Good news - he kicked it in the ass. He went through surgery, chemo, radiation, and was declared cancer free last February.

Less good - the cancer has returned in a new and even more aggressive form. Jamie's doctors have started him on a different form of chemo that will hopefully be easier on his system as he fights this villain for a second time.

Jamie also has the opportunity to do Immunotherapy. Unfortunately, Jamie's cancer is not covered for immunotherapy in Canada so everything will be out of pocket. The immunotherapy runs somewhere about $7,000-$10,000 dollars per session. Over the course of a year, this could add up substantially.

Jamie and his family are heading into a battle with a formidable opponent. An opponent that attacks physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. They are ready to throw everything they have at this shitty disease. But they don't have to fight alone. We can help.

All funds raised by this account will be used to help support Jamie, Tammy, Elizabeth, and Alex. Not only by funding the immunotherapy, but also by paying bills, rent, groceries, and expenses. We hope we can bring even a little bit of hope and light to his day by easing his mind of finances so he can focus solely on his health.
