Jaime Pardo Memorial and Funeral Fund

Hello, my name is Elias Pardo, and I'm establishing this GoFundMe page to help defray the cost of funeral expenses and to establish a fund in Jaime Pardo's memory. Jaime was my brother and left us far too soon. Part of the proceeds from this fund will benefit New Mexico Young Actors.
Jaime Pardo was born January 15, 1963 to Tranquilino and Amelia Pardo and passed away on March 8, 2022 at 2:28 am at the age of 59, the youngest of seven children. Jaime passed away due to complications with an aggressive form of cancer called Plasma Cell Leukemia, also known as Multiple Myeloma. Jaime managed to live only 48 days after being diagnosed with this terrible disease. His quick passing has been a shock to many.
Jaime was raised by immigrant parents of French and Mexican origin and lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jaime graduated from Highland High School and remained in the Albuquerque area all his life, hardly ever leaving the state for vacations.
Jim, or Jimmy, as he was also known to close friends and family was well known in the Albuquerque Theatre Community and will be greatly missed by those who knew him well and saw him perform on numerous stages and theatrical performances. As a young man Jaime loved to sing and performed with the Highland High School Entertainers. He had hoped to make it to Hollywood someday and as such was in two Hollywood movies in his younger years; All the Pretty Horses with Matt Damon, Penelope Cruz and Lucas Black and in A Shining Season with Timothy Bottoms, Ed Begley Jr., and Rip Torn. The latter was filmed in Albuquerque and featured a local celebrity who attended the University of New Mexico.
Jaime worked with his father for many years at Pardo Custom Tailors before eventually taking over the business. In his latter years Jaime was well known as “Albuquerque’s Costumer.” Trained as a Tailor and creative designer Jaime was the “go to guy” if you wanted your show creatively designed and completed on time. His costumes and puppet designs were once featured in the Albuquerque International Sunport airport as part of a cultural display. One of his most recent and nutty designs featured a working peg leg for a young actor in Treasure Island. The idea started with a toilet plunger and grew from there!
Jaime enjoyed family gatherings around the Holidays and loved to cook. His creative recipes and delicious Christmas candies were always welcomed by those who knew him. His nieces and nephews loved him very much and remember his kindness and wit at family holidays. He was always around to “love on” his nieces and nephews and show them the importance of family.
Jaime is preceded in death by Tranquilino Pardo, father; Amelia Pardo, mother and Fernando Pardo, brother. He is survived by Maria Esther Pardo, sister; Servando Pardo, brother; Amelia Pardo, sister; Georgina Pardo-Neely, sister; Elias Pardo, brother; six nieces, eight nephews along with 22 grand nieces and nephews.
