ENGLISH:
Jaime Solis is a generous man, a hard worker, devoted to his family and steadfast in his integrity. He is known for always going the extra mile for whomever asks for help or a bit of his time. He never asks for anything in return; he has a huge heart! Jaime is a good father and husband, and dedicated believer in God.
He works long hours as an electrician in order to give his family the best life he can. His eldest son is studying at CSUN, his daughter is finishing high school, and Jaime is enjoying seeing his two year old little girl simply grow and play. His wife, Elena, is also a hard worker and an amazing woman, raising a family while running a food truck business.
On January 13th, Jaime was working at a construction site with large machinery in the city of Palm Springs. The arm of a crane was carrying a very large palm tree, and the crane slipped up and the arm fell, dropping the palm tree and hitting Jaime right on top of his head. A nearby golf cart took a bit of the impact, but the accident was nonetheless huge. He immediately felt his limbs go numb as he laid on the floor in a state of shock, pain, and panic. Thankfully, he regained sensation and was transported immediately to a local hospital.
His injuries were serious - It was an accident that could have left him dead, but by the grace of God his life was spared. The doctors had to operate on his spinal cord immediately - inserting a support and four screws into his back. After having the operation, Jaime has been coping with terrible levels of pain. To begin his therapies, he was encouraged to take 65 steps, in agonizing pain the entire time.
Jaime was hospitalized in Palm Springs; neither he nor Elena will be able to work for an extended time due to his condition. This is a family crisis and they need OUR HELP. We are asking for everyone's help. To those who know the family, it's clear that they deserve this and so much more.
