Jaime's house flood

The best way to share my desire to set up a Go Fund Me for one of my dearest friends, is to share the story in her own words:
"Three years ago, I fought like the dickens to buy myself a little house. It was the worst & cheapest house on the block and it needed a lot of work. It was all that I could afford, but it was a dream come true for me. Growing up, my grandpa said to me, “Babydoll, I’m gonna teach you how to do stuff because you never know what life is gonna bring.” He made sure I knew how to build stuff and fix stuff and how to figure stuff out. Through much blood, sweat, tears, and countless construction nightmares, it took over 2 years to fix it up. And, it finally felt like home.
Last week, I came home to find that a pipe had burst in the upstairs bathroom and my home was flooded from top to bottom. When I opened the door, it was like Niagara Falls in there and I couldn’t wrap my mind around what I was seeing. The damage is catastrophic. There isn’t much to be saved. The fire department let me in to grab what I could—some pictures off the walls and what I could save from my home office. But, there are still some very sentimental family photos, treasured books, and a good bit of my 20+ years of acting research that are either still in there or soaked to the bone & unsalvageable. Everything has to be ripped out. All that will remain is the shell—which is kinda how it feels to lose your home in one fell swoop.
As many of us are working from home, her teaching and studio equipment were part of the flood and also destroyed. If you can, please help her rebuild in every way. She is a wonderfully loving person , friend and all around great human. Please lift her up.
