Jake DeZoort, Professional Golfer

My name is Jake DeZoort and I'm trying to raise money to fund the beginning of my professional golf career. I've spent the last 6 years as a student and a collegiate golfer, and now that I've finished school I'm set on playing full-time. I played for 4 years at The University of Alabama from 2016-2020, where I earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I then attended the University of West Florida where I earned an MBA. In 2021, I was named an All-American, finishing the Spring season with 4 top 8 finishes including 2 runner-ups. I hold the course record at my home club, NorthRiver Yacht Club, where I've shot 61 twice. Since finishing school, I've moved back to Tuscaloosa to practice and prepare for turning pro this year. I've been waiting tables at night to pay bills over the winter months while practicing every day. My goal is to shift my focus completely to golf and dedicate all my time and effort to earning status on the Korn Ferry Tour this Fall. I've seen how good I can be without the time constraints of school and it's proven I can make a career out of playing. I plan to play as many tournaments as possible between now and August when Korn Ferry Tour Q-School begins. Everyone who knows me knows how obsessed and dedicated I am to succeeding at this and I'm fully prepared to invest everything I have into my golf. I do, however, need assistance in funding my schedule. I've prepared this goal of $21,500 by creating a complete schedule of tournaments from April until August when Q-School begins. I have a complete breakdown of my expected expenses for the 7 tournaments on the Emerald Coast Tour and G Pro Tour, and the 1 Korn Ferry Event Qualifier I plan to play.
