Help Jake fight his battle with Cauda Equina!

Hi my name is Sav and for the past 12 years I have had the pleasure of knowing my best friend, Jake Davey!

Jake is such an amazing person, as most of you probably know, Jake does whatever he can to help and support others whenever he can but recently the tables have turned on Jake and now its us who need to support him...

For 2 years Jake has been dealing with a crippling condition known as Spinal Stenosis, this condition causes the narrowing of the spinal canal, this was affecting Jakes ability to walk and do day to day activities due to the extreme back pain and sciatica, this has caused Jake to develop another debilitating condition called Cauda Equina.

Around a month ago Jake's condition became critical, his pain became excruciating! His ability to walk without supports and heavy pain relief was taken away from him. He then presented at John Hunter after not being able to take the pain anymore where he was told that the only option was emergency back surgery. The surgery ended up being more complex then expected and went for much longer then originally planned by surgeons. Jakes nerves in his back are so severely damaged that he now cannot control his lower body, this is called Cauda Equina.

Jake is now fighting the battle of regaining the control in his lower body, this means for Jake that he has to learn to walk again, this is not only a physical battle but a mental one as well requiring a lot of rehab and physical therapy.

We know Jake is determined and strong and can fight this battle to get back to himself! With the supports of his parents (Vanessa and Matt), his beautiful girlfriend (Grace), his close family and close friends we know he can do this!

But with Jake running small business with no employees his work has come to a hault... this is putting a lot of financial pressure on him, his family and his small business.

Please help me help Jake ensure he can get the right supports and keep his small business afloat while he fights this battle <3
