Jake Franzen’s courageous brain tumor battle

Hi, my name is Ashley Hoskinson and I am raising money for my brave brother in law Jake Franzen who is battling a brain tumor that is cancerous. This tumor was such a shock as he is so young and healthy. He is one of the kindest men you will ever meet and will give you everything he has to help you out. He has a beautiful 3 year old daughter who is the joy of his life. Jake undoubtedly has a long hard journey ahead, yet he always has a smile on his face and his faith has not wavered. Any small amount can help this family cover the large amount of medical bills and household bills. Because of his seizures Jake has been unable to drive or work and won’t be able to for the ear future which is putting the family in a hard place.

My sister in law Abby, his wife shares his story:

In May, we found out Jake was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. He had been having “episodes” for a few months that we later found out were seizures. He had lots of MRIs and other tests and then we finally got his diagnosis. On July 23rd, he had a craniotomy to remove the tumor. Unfortunately they were only able to remove 2/3 of the tumor. The recovery has been way harder than we expected. His speech and comprehension was extremely limited for the past week after surgery and is slowly coming back. We are still in the hospital, as he is unable to go home until his seizures are controlled. He has a long road to recovery as this is a cancerous tumor and the future steps to remove the rest of it are unknown at this time. Thank you so much for all of the love, support, and prayers.
