In Memory of Jake Janssen

On April 5th, 2023, William Jacob (Jake) Janssen left this world as our guardian angel. We tragically lost this beautiful person, our son, brother, and friend to a lifelong battle with autism, epilepsy, and type 1 diabetes.

Jake fought hard, having over 750 seizures in his lifetime, smiling through it all and enjoying life to the fullest. From fishing at ninepipes and blue bay, to boating with his family and dogs, Rich, Julie, Jenna, Dennis and Dill, Jake lived a great, happy life. He loved to sing worship songs in Church, go thrift shopping, and playing the claw machine. Most of all hanging out with his family, and home aid/lifelong friend Elliott Adams.

This has been created by his sister Jenna to help cover funeral expenses and headstone costs. One part of grief that’s hardest is costs no one should ever have to think about. All proceeds will go directly to Rich and Julie Janssen.

We love you all more than you could ever know, and so did Jake. His mark will never be forgotten in our community. We will always remember.
