Jake Rackleys Memorial Fund

It is with extreme sadness to report that my brother Michael Jake Rackley has passed away.

I am extremely grateful for the last 6 or 7 years that I got to spend with my brother. I learned who he truly was as a man and got to see a different side of him. Jake was a true jack of all trades as we engaged i
n many projects together during this time. He taught me more about carpentry and mechanics during a few of these projects than I had learned in my entire life. More importantly, Jake and I spent countless hours discussing mental health and recovery. One of his brightest moments, professionally, was when he was providing peer support and sponsoring other individuals who were struggling with addiction. He and I spent many hours processing as this field can weigh heavy on you. These conversations gave me much pleasure as Jake often indicated I was teaching him a lot, however, truth be told, he was teaching me. He helped many and gave his all, unconditionally and non-judgmentally. He was gifted and cared deeply about others and his generosity was radiant. He had incredible insight and a unique ability to suspend any judgments while helping others. He will be forever missed.

I loved my brother deeply and was extremely proud of him. He overcame insurmountable odds and strived each day to be a better man and person. He will forever be a part of me. Jake told me and my mother last week that 2021 was going to be his year. He had great plans and goals already written out and was on a warpath to take his gifts and abilities of helping others to another level. Well Bub, let me carry that torch for you as I will gladly do this in your honor. Your time on earth is done, Heaven has gained an amazing angel. I love you Bub, Godspeed.

All funds raised will go directly to my brothers funeral expenses and I bare sole responsibility of all expenditures. In addition, and for transparency purposes, I have asked my cousin and mother to be additional arbiters.
