Jake Tarter's Cancer Battle
Donation protected
One of our good friends, Jake, is currently battling a rare form of cancer called spindle cell sarcoma. Since diagnosis, he has had multiple surgeries including the loss of an arm. Jake is learning how to cope with new challenges and some lifestyle restrictions. As you can imagine, there have been increasing medical bills and now a restricted disability income. This cancer diagnosis has hit hard. The good news is that his spirit has never wavered! He remains the same easy-going, music-loving, generous guy that would still do anything for you!
Recent update: Jake is still battling this crazy journey. He has recently been referred to surgical specialists in Chicago and tomorrow, 12/28 is heading into another surgery to remove some of if not all of a tumor on his spin. Once this surgery is successful, specialist at Northwestern are hoping he can start a new progressive proton radiation to treat the remaining cancer. This is great news and he remains in good spirits; however, this also means more hospital stays, hotels, quick meals, and commuting 3+ hours frequently to Chicago! Please consider supporting his road to health and healing!
