Jake the Alligator v. Blinky the Crocodile Exhibit

Gulf Specimen Marine Lab in Panacea, Florida is in the process of
building a new exhibit, THE BATTLE OF THE TITANS.

This is the story of two infamous crocodilians, Jake and Blinky, who fought to the death and are now immortalized as fiberglass models.  Both models are now at Gulf Specimen Aquarium and being enjoyed by our visitors. We encourage children to climb on the monsters as they stand in opposition to each other.


A Disney-quality diorama is planned by Keith Padgett of Art FX- Studios in Medart, FL, with an oil painting mural of an eerie swamp with steam rising from the dark waters. Coupled with the sounds of furious bellows of gators and terrifying hisses of crocodiles, it will most definitely be an exhibit to remember.

Help us commemorate Florida's local urban legend of these handsome and formidable beasts by contributing towards this project. We are trying to raise $18,000 to build this exhibit and we appreciate every contribution.
