Jake Hart's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family,
We'd like to thank you all so much for your love, support and prayers this past week, as we find ourselves once again asking for your help on Jake's behalf.
Jake Hart was admitted to Baylor ER August 4th, after being found unresponsive and barely breathing from aspiration of stomach acid. He was immediately incubated and put on life support. We are so incredibly thankful to the first responders and ER staff for working so quickly. The next 5 days in ICU were spent fighting aspiration, pneumonia, kidney infection and a collapsed lung. It took time, but today, by the grace of God, the expertise of hospital staff, and your kind prayers and thoughts, Jake made it through. Although he is on the mend, he still has a long road with his prescriptions, doctors, and various other treatments. There is quite a bit of healing to do before he is released to go back to work, travel, or even light exercise. Even then, he'll have many more treatments to undergo.
The expenses we’ve had, and will continue to have, make it very challenging to keep up financially, more than we imagined. Even after insurance kicks in, Jake still will have to pay 80% of all medical expenses. We’ve kept up a steady rotation of hospital visits, splitting the day half and half between Jennifer and Curtis, although the drive to and from Dallas has been extensive and costly. As a family, of course we'll get through this emotional rollercoaster together, but as a single income family, finding funds to help him through this is near impossible without asking for help.
So, we ask if you could please consider donating to Jake's medical fund. Without work, keeping up his living expenses, and now his testing and doctor visits just for the next couple of weeks is more than we can bear. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family. Many blessings to you and thank you so much for your time and consideration.
