Hartvigsen Family Brain Cancer Fund

To all this may concern,
The Cause to Action:
My name is Thomas Kolbo, and I am currently raising funds for my dear friend Jacob Hartvigsen and his family. He currently is suffering from terminal brain cancer. It is obvioius at this point that his time with his friends and family is limited. I want the family to spend their last weeks with Jake without having to worry about financial expenditures or they can put it towards a scholarship fund in memory of his name.
Who is Jake?
Jake Hartvigsen (21 years old), son of Kevin and Tracy Hartvigsen, is the oldest child of three who grew up in Auduban, Iowa. Jake is currently a 3rd year student at Simpson College, and a graduate of Exira/Elkhorn Kimballton High School. He was planning on getting his bachelor's degree in music education at Simpson College with a focus on trumpet, with plans of working towards a master's degree in music performance after graduation. The Simpson College jazz band and symphonic band held a high respect for Jake and his trumpet playing, as he quickly became the lead trumpet player in both ensembles. At Simpson, he was also a proud member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, Iowa Bandmaster's Association, multiple music ensembles, choir, and the compositional studies group. When he wasn't working on academics, he would spend time with his loving girlfriend, family, trumpet, or playing his favorite videogame League of Legends.
What Happened?
During October of 2015, Jake was beginning his 3rd year at Simpson College when a tumor was spotted in his brain. Jake soon underwent surgeries and radiation therapy to fight the tumor. In January, everything was thought to have been cleared when another mass was found on his spine. Surgery was performed again, and he was beginning to recover when the cancer came back. This time, the cancer was terminal.
What Can You Do?
Please, if you can help support Jake and the Hartvigsen family financially, donate to the fund. If not, pass this on to the community through email and facebook sharing. This money will go directly to the Hartvigsen family as they recover from this tragic time, and they will greatly appreciate any support they can receive. We thank you very much for your time, and please keep Jake and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
