Jake's 10K Swim for National Kidney Foundation
Archbishop Curley sophomore, Andrew “Jake” Rusnak, will swim a non-stop 10K to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation of MD. Jake, a former St. Casimir student, a current St. Casimir Church parishioner, and life-long resident of Inverness in Dundalk, was born with one functioning kidney and is dedicated to raising money for kidney disease. This is his 3rd benefit swim for the Foundation. When he was 10, he swam 5 miles and raised more than $2,300. On October 9, 2021, at 9:00 am, at the CCBC Dundalk pool, Jake will begin his 10K (6.2 miles, 438 laps) swim, what will amount to approximately 3 to 3.5 hours in the pool. Any equipment adjustments, or “banana breaks” will be done in the deep end while treading water. Won’t you please make a pledge or contribution? All funds raised and collected will go to the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland and be used to fight this deadly disease. The Rusnak family goal is $5000.
