Jake Noble is from the mid-north coast of New South Wales. He was involved in a serious car accident on a rural road which resulted in critical, life-threatening injuries. For a period of time (approximately 10 hours) Jake was alone, entirely conscious, trying to dig his way out and unable to get help because his lower body was pinned underneath the vehicle. This accident has left him with debilitating injuries, requiring 24 hour extensive and ongoing rehabilitation.

The impact on the family and his quality of life is devastating. Jake has a twin brother, Josh with whom he shares a particularly intense bond, and the shock of the accident, coupled with his brother being hospitalised such a long distance away, has left Josh emotionally devastated. Jake also has a younger brother Colby who is about to sit his Grade 10 exams, making this time in his life even more stressful. They are a tight-knit family and underneath the banter between the boys, there is nothing but love.

Sadly, Jake remains critical, in ICU on dialysis, suffering the horrific effects of a crush injury to his legs. The significant burns on his lower body and the trauma of being crushed for such a long period of time under the vehicle has left him in constant pain and often in a state of delirium.

His family have been unable to return to work and are currently by his side at all times. His brothers are being cared for at the family home by friends and relatives. As Jake was sent to a hospital 5 hours drive away from their family home, they have had to rely on emergency hospital accommodation. His mother, Karen, says that some hours she falls apart because the shock of everything just takes over. She can't explain the emotional torture this has had on all of them.

The family would like to thank the outpouring of love, support and prayers from so many as they face this major transition in their life. We ask that you share this Go Fund Me page as Jake has a long and expensive road to recovery ahead of him. Ongoing rehabilitation and equipment costs are estimated to be in excess of $100 000, so any contribution, large or small, would be humbly accepted and appreciated. We ask that you rally together to assist this beautiful family to deal with this devastating tragedy.
