Jake
Hello world,
My name is Jake Lee and I am a Life Scout with Troop 57 in Garland, TX and working towards completing my Eagle Project. For my project, I will be making a Sensory Wall at the ROC Outreach Community Center in Garland, TX. As a 17-year-old with ADHD, I have had to deal with and manage anxiety my whole life, and still do. I am going to build a wall with many different objects and textures which will help kids relax, focus and experience different touch & tactile sensations.
I am going to paint the wall with a colorful geometric pattern and build 3 frames, each with 3 interchangeable inserts. These inserts will all be different and allow the ROC staff to change them out periodically, therefore making the wall fresh and new with many different combinations.
I am really excited about this project as it will allow me to assist those kids who need a little extra help to focus and even those who don’t know they need it.
I am asking for donations to help me purchase the supplies needed to carry out my project. Thank you for considering supporting my Eagle Project. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Yours in Scouting,
Jake Lee
