Kitchen Fire Repair Fund for The Norrises
Donation protected
On Saturday, August 19th, a fire broke out in the kitchen of my good friends, Jake and Meaghan Norris. Thankfully there was no one injured and everyone, including their pets, got out safely. The fire was able to be extinguished and the damage was contained in their kitchen. Unfortunately the home had become uninhabitable for the time being. In the mean time they will have to stay at a hotel. This means some of the most vital areas of their home need to be torn out and rebuilt. Furniture, appliances, and anything in this area will need to be replaced. Jake is a professional chef. To say his kitchen is an essential part of his day to day is an understatement.
Jake and Meaghan are some of the best people this world has to offer. They have both worked so, so hard to get to where they are today. Building their home together. Supporting each other while they each build careers. All while finding time to be amazing friends, to be there for their families, and being positive role models for their employees, or their students.
They do have insurance which will help them with some of the cost to replace things, and their hotel stay. The money donated will go to help with things that insurance won't cover.
I started this because Jake and Meaghan have hearts of gold. They will often be the ones helping out others and are never the ones accepting the help in return. I would love to see some burden removed from their shoulders in a stressful time.
