Jaleta Family in Ethiopia Relief Fund

Donation protected
Ted Jaleta, a long time Regina resident, who himself was a refugee from Ethiopia,  has family caught in the current civil crisis in his native country. Conditions in Ethiopia are rapidly deteriorating; Ted's two brothers and their respective families  find themselves "desperate" and "homeless".  A cruel twist of irony unfolds four decades later.

"(CNN)A full-scale humanitarian crisis is developing in the Horn of Africa as thousands of people flee ongoing violence in Ethiopia's Tigray region, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said Tuesday. - November 17, 2020."

Those who know Ted are aware he has selflessly given to and served citizens in Regina and the province as Saskatchewan for many years. What a wonderful way for us to "pay it forward".

Unbeknownst to Ted, this GoFundMe account has been developed for you to consider contributing during this season of giving. Funds raised will be sent with love to Ted's family halfway around the world.  Please consider a donation - however small.

“Learn to light a candle in the darkest moments of someone’s life. Be the light that helps others see; it is what gives life its deepest significance.”  R. Bennett
