WELCOME
This January 14-20, 2020 Frassati Fellowship of NYC will be traveling to Annotto Bay, Jamaica. In partnership with the Congregation of the Oratory (our local partners) and Franciscan Mission outreach, we will be serving the parish of St. Theresa Roman Catholic Church as well as its various mission chapels and schools.

THE NEED
Did you know that Catholics make up only 2% of Jamaica’s population and often encounter negativity towards their faith? The community of St. Theresa's hasn't had a resident priest for the last five years. Due to the lack of pastoral care, the main church and mission communities have declined in number and vitality. We are excited for this opportunity to bring renewal and revival through God's grace to this community.

OUR MISSION
Our work will consist of various clean-up projects, repairs, and beautification. We will also visit the mission schools to teach Catechesis with an evangelization theme of the Path to Sainthood. Together and in partnership with the parish community, we will build up Catholic identity as well as restore places of beauty where people can come together in fellowship and worship.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

1) LANDSCAPING, GARDENING, & REPAIRS
We will be working at St. Theresa's parish to make the property more usable and provide the parish community a beautiful space for fellowship and worship. We will be cleaning up the entire property, making numerous repairs (painting, sanding away rust, replacing broken shingles, etc), clearing away large stones, renovating the convent courtyard, and planting new plants and trees. You can help by donating towards the cost of the clean-up and gardening tools as well as the plants and trees.

2) SCHOOL VISITS & COMMUNITY EVANGELIZATION
The Annotto Bay community is full of beautiful people who need to learn of God's love. We will be visiting several schools to show the students the importance of family and working together by teaching them about the Path to Sainthood and doing fun activities. We will also host a Day of Recollection at St. Theresa's, where we will teach the community about different aspects of our faith through talks, witness sharings, and the rosary. Your donations will help with any supplies we might need.

3) PRAYER & SHARING
Even if you cannot give financially, you can support us by your prayers and sharing this info! You can offer fasting, a Rosary, a novena, or any type of prayer for our mission. We ask for your prayers for the missionaries – for safe travels, health, and open hearts and minds. We also ask that you pray for all the people of Annotto Bay and our partners. That through our small efforts, God’s love and majesty may be made even more visible in this beautiful community.
