Jamal Choukri Funeral Support

Hi,

My name is Amal Abu-Rassaa. I am creating this GoFundMe page in memory of Jamal Choukri, who is my stepfather's nephew.

Jamal had come to Australia from Morocco in the 1990s, for a better life. He created a home for himself here in Sydney, working tirelessly as a truck driver. He was loved by all those close to him (friends, family & colleagues), and always brought a smile and helping hand to everyone around him.

Jamal was tragically killed on Thursday 17th October, 2024, while travelling on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, when a vehicle veered onto the wrong side of the road, killing him instantly, as he was travelling to work.

This came as a big shock to us, as we are struggling to comprehend such a big loss.

Due to having limited family members here in Australia, only one Uncle, Jamal's body will be sent back to Morocco, as requested by his distraught and grieving parents, for burial.

This GoFundMe page has therefore been created to provide financial support and assistance for his family to provide a funeral & burial service in Morocco with his loved ones
