The Hills’ 7 Challenges in 7 Months for MNDA
In February, our Mum was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease having suffered debilitating loss of movement of her arms over the previous few months. She now requires regular care visits during the day to help with every day tasks. This disease is life shortening, debilitating and has no cure.
We, James and David decided to do something a little positive to raise a few quid for MNDA which is an amazing charity offering so much support for people suffering this vile disease, and for their families.
We plan to undertake a cycle-based challenge each month for 7 months, either together or independently, reflecting the fact that James is far fitter than David! We also must focus our time on care for our Mum, so these will be one or two day tasks.
April’s challenge will be riding The Ridgeway path. 87 miles off road in a day, which we tried a few years back but aborted due to mechanical failure. We will update the challenge list as we go.
Do you want to join us in making a difference? We’re raising money in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
