James Cherry COVID-19 Medical and Funeral fund
Jim Cherry was a beloved community champion of Heber-Overgaard, AZ for the past 16 years! In his time serving his community in the White Mountains, he was the president of the H.O.S.T thrift store where he has earned thousands to assist high school students with scholarships to college as well as providing special assistance programs to community members in need. Prior to his time in the White Mountains, he was a Senior Special Agent as a Criminal Investigator for US Customs where he impacted many lives. In his younger years, he served as a radar operator in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War Era.
A wonderful man, husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, and friend, he always put others needs before his own.
With his warrior spirit or as his son Jimmy calls him, “a certified badass,” he fought hard, but has recently lost his fight against COVID-19.
We are now asking for any help from those lives he has touched to aid in the expenses of medical/funerary costs.
