James E. Carney Medical

Bishop James Carney is a seventy-three year old minister who lives in Columbia, MS. He served Woodlawn Church as pastor for 27 years, where his son, Jerron Carney is now pastor. His oldest  son Jay Carney, is pastor of Life at Tupelo in Tupelo, MS. Bishop Carney and his wife, Jean have been married for 53 years and they have devoted their life to ministry locally and globally. They have two wonderful daughters in law and 6 grandchildren.

Bishop Carney is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and pastor. His dedication to his ministry for the past 34 years has made him pastor and friend to countless people in his community and mentor to many ministers.

His January diagnosis, is stage 4 prostate cancer which as most of you know means it has spread to most of his organs and bones. Due to the aggressiveness of his cancer, he has elected to do treatments locally and abroad over the next few months to see if there will be a more positive outcome.
