Hi, my name is Kayla Rice, eldest daughter of James Rice. I’m gathering you here to raise funds to cover his memorial services. My father was a great and honest man. He touched many lives and gave the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it. ANYONE. He wasn’t a man to ever doubt. He loved hard and his loyalty was rare. He deserves to have his wishes honored. Gone way too soon. If he has ever made his way into your heart and today it is heavy, I stand with you too. His heart was that of gold, his tongue sharp, and his mind never resting. The man thinks. He was my father, your nephew, your cousin, your brother and everyone’s dear friend. A man to look up to. Someone to be proud of. A rock in hard places. Rocking and rolling his way through to the next side, don’t you worry now for his soul is set free. He was too good for this world alone. Smile for him, light a match, pour one, turn the music up and don’t forget him during your morning coffee.
