James Guy needs our strength and support.

It would be hard-pressed to find a resident in Canyon Fairways that doesn’t know our Angel, James Guy. James is an outstanding employee and supervisor, always going above and beyond job requirements to care for us. He has ensured that the job performance of every guard in our community surpasses expectations, and James has become a friend to all of us that live here.

Why I Am Asking

We finally get a chance to show our appreciation and show James how much we care about him. For those unaware of the current circumstances, James was admitted into UMC hospital last week and was given the very tough diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

James has quite a battle ahead- Physically, Emotionally and Financially. We may not be able to help him with the first two battles he will face, but we can help him with the financial aspect.

James served in the United States Army for 16 years on active and reserve duty. His Unit was activated for Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. James received several awards while in the military. He was assigned to a special operations team during the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, along with emergency earthquake duties and assisting with the civil unrest during the 1992 riots in Southern California.

There are so many lessons to learn from James about caring for other people, having a positive attitude, loving your family and friends and always going above and beyond for any person, at all times.

James is an excellent example of a family man, married to his beautiful wife Lenora for almost 40 years and sharing his passion for life and family with his 4 children and 2 grandchildren, with a 3rd grandchild due August 27th.

This world is a better place because of James. He truly cares about every person that crosses his path in life. If there has ever been a person that deserves our assistance, it would be James.
