James Halverson with funds to get to Europe.

James Halverson, a Minnesota Junior Cyclist, was selected to race on the USA National Cycling Team. He will be heading to Europe to race cyclocross for team USA!!! He will race in 2 World Cup races, one in France and one in Ireland. There will be 2 other opportunities to race this winter in Europe. Racing in the Elite Jr. Men 17-18 World Cup Races.

With this opportunity comes costs of flights to Europe, costs of staying in Europe, and other expenses to get there, including a new bike travel bag. He will be traveling with 2 bikes, 2 extra sets of wheels, misc. spare parts in addition to regular travel items for 2 weeks of traveling over seas.

James is currently racing for Minnesota Junior Cycling, his 6th season with the team. He joined the team with dreams of racing road, but quickly learned a fun new discipline (for him), CYCLOCROSS. Through a lot of hard work, and support from his coaches Dag Selander and Bjorn Selander, he placed 3rd at Nationals in December of 2021. James has attended EuroCross Academy, and was selected to race on the EuroCross Academy team in Europe December 2022.

We are very excited for this opportunity for James to race in Europe and represent the United States in international competition. He has worked very hard to make this team, and is excited to take his racing to this new level.
