James Hobbs

This go fund me is set up to help the family of a retired firefighter James Hobbs also known as Jimmy and Hobbs. It is to help cover medical expenses and other medical services or equipment he might need when he comes home. Jim is married with two adult children and six grandchildren. He had learned to walk and dress himself was going upstairs until the end of January the doctor discovered a problem with his blood clotting. He had to have the vein surgery on his leg in March and had complications with it and was put in ICU Then a few weeks at acute rehab. He was home a couple days and got pneumonia from aspirating and back to the hospital and rehab again. He got out May 9 and by the 13th back at the hospital for pneumonia and toxic metabolic syndrome He ended up having a TIA and needed surgery on his right carotid artery in the neck which resulted in the ninth stroke after weeks he was back in acute rehab where on May 27 he had a brain bleed and then ICU with stroke number 10. Jim is alert and talking he is the strongest man we know to keep on fighting after 10 strokes he had a G-tube inserted  this week as he aspirates on fluids and gets pneumonia. Jim has a long road ahead of him and is still in the hospital. What the future holds we do not know but he will fight to the end that much we do know as firefighters Don’t give up until the task at hand is complete. We are thankful for his brothers and sisters at the fire house for their support and prayers and everyone who has been praying for Jim and all of Your support Jim has Fought fires rescued people and now he’s in the fight of his life!! ‍❤️
