James Lick Football Program
Donation protected
My name is Chris Pope and I am the Head Varsity Football Coach at James Lick High School. I recently took over the program this past year, where we finished our season, unfortunately, at 0-10. Although the season did not go as planned in my first year, we had flashes of the team that we could be; which led me to coaching James Lick in the first place. As an athlete, I was never the biggest, strongest, or the fastest on
any of my teams. I have been an underdog my entire life and worked hard enough to end up having a pro career. If you are not familiar with the area or James Lick as a whole, they are consistently described as the bottom feeders, the losers of high school sports, especially the football program. Being an underdog myself, I relate to these kids and I hope to change the culture of the program.
One element in changing the culture is to supply enough game jerseys to every student athlete. Unfortunately, we had players with different sets of jerseys simply because we did not have enough.
As a coach of an underprivileged school, I am asking if you can help us with monetary donations in order to supply new uniforms and helmets. I hope that this will add to the morale of our culture and and help on our road to becoming a winning team.
If you are able to help, we thank you in advance and greatly appreciate ALL donations made to the program.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.
