James Moffitt's Medical Fund

On the evening of Tuesday, August 1st our beloved brother in Christ, James Moffitt was taking an evening stroll and was tragically hit by a car. After a whirlwind of research, he was finally found admitted to Eden Hosptial on August 2nd.
The majority of James' ribs have been broken, partially collapsed lung and head injury with bleeding in his brain. He had emergency surgery on his brain and currently has a chest tube and Is on a ventilator. They are keeping him sedated until he is less critical.
During this crutial time, his wife Melissa has been trying to be at his side as he recovers. However that has been extremely limited due to having zero personal transportation (generally relies on a bus for daily life, but church family is helping to coordinate rides to and from hopsital for her) to her need to work to cover life's expenses (rent, bills, food, etc).
As her church family, we firmly believe in the importance of her being at his bedside as he heals. We believe having her by his side will help speed up his recovery and help her cope. Unfortuantely due to financial stressors, Melissa cannot do that because she has to work to stay afloat. We would like to bless her with the ability to be with James and are reaching out to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ asking for your help.
Please friends and family, every dollar helps. We want to help cover her rent, PG&E, and food for at least 2 months. If you are wanting to help but cannot afford to donate, you can help by joining in the transportation of Melissa to and from the hopsital. You can also stop by and visit James (unconcisous) to keep him company. And most importantly, you can help by praying for him and Melissa. Pray that God gives the medical team wisdom to help James recover, for James' body to be receptive to the treatment, for strength and comfort for Melissa during this difficult time.
Thank you all. God bless.
