James Randell Cason III

On March 4, 2023, my sister's husband, James Randell Cason III, passed away from complications associated with endocarditis. James embodied selflessness and was a fiercely loving and devoted husband and father, having raised my niece as if she were his own. James was also a true patriot, having served our country in the United States Marine Corps from 09/15/1992 to 09/14/1998. During his tenure in the military, James was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Joint Service Unit Commendation, Overseas Ribbon Southwest Asia Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, U.S. Coast Guard SOS Ribbon, and Meritorious Unit Commendation. James was also wounded during a tour in Iraq when his tank was hit by an explosive device. Not only was James a decorated Marine, he was an outstanding human being who left a void that can never be filled. Please join me in honoring a fallen hero.
