Hey all y'all! My name is Becki. I've created this to help raise funds for the funeral expenses and memorial of the untimely and sudden death of a very good friend of mine from West Virginia, James.

James was friends with most people he met. He tried to help everyone he could no matter how much they frustrated him. He always tried to be positive no matter the situation. Many people who knew him, who were not his family or local friends, didn't realize he had been dealing with some severe health issues. They also weren't aware he and his younger siblings buried both of their parents earlier last year. These sad situations created unfair financial burdens, but they still did the best they could and continued to help who they could. Even some of his closest friends were not aware of the toll the severity of his health issues had taken nor how bad he really felt. He would always tell us he was better or good.

James became quite unwell due to his chronic health issues, that included needing continual dialysis, a little while before Christmas last year. His health had been up and down erratically for at least a year before that and the deaths of his parents also took its toll. At that point, his heart stopped and he became unresponsive. He had been hospitalized since that point on life support. Last week he appeared to be improving. He started responding well to treatment and personal interaction. This week he was fully responsive. So much so that attempts were made to remove life support. However, his body didn't respond well. He was placed back on life support and seemed to stabilize again, but shortly after, his heart stopped anyway. He was not able to be resuscitated.

Very few are prepared for death. Even more are not prepared financially. James was one of those.
