Hello,

In light of James' passing, on behalf of the emergency management community and others, we would like to set up a fund to support James' family with any costs around James' celebration of life and future costs his family may experience, including Kai's education. James was a beacon of light, selfless and a joy to many of us. Family was at his core. He cared deeply for everyone he met and the outdoors. He quickly made long-lasting connections and would have given the shirt off his back for others, even before anyone asked. He touched many hearts in his travels and will be deeply missed. We love you, James.

A Burial Ceremony will occur on Thursday, Nov 24 at noon in Chilliwack, BC. Details on the ceremony of life will be posted as they become available.

Thank you for sharing in James' memory and for your contribution. James' family is aware of this fund, and it will be shared with them as they are ready to receive.
