James' sunken houseboat fund

Donation protected
On tuesday 15th of September the  vertical sluice gate at Twerton, Bath had a mechanical failure and swung fully open. This dropped the river level by 1.8 metres between Pulteney weir and Weston Lock in less than an hour.
Along this stretch of river there are many houseboats, which became stranded in the mud. We are heart broken for our dear friend James' who has lost everything, as his boat sank.

James was onboard when the water dropped and he only had time to save his two dogs, his laptop and  himself as the nose of the narrowboat started taking on water very quickly after getting stuck on the bank at a steep angle.
All his worldly belongings, family treasures and his home are under water. He has been made homeless and all he has is a pair of shorts and two t shirts!

Please help lovely James by joining us in raising a little money to help get him back on his feet and to contribute towards any legal help he may need, or to help refloat his beautiful houseboat!

James is always the first to help everyone else out, it's our turn to help our lovely friend in his time of need.

Please share, thank you from the bottom of my heart,
