Jameson Mock's recovery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Meredith Meister, and I am fundraising for the family of Jameson Mock, at the request of his mother. Jameson is a student in my classroom. On December 29th, Jameson Mock was found unresponsive at his father's home in Pennsylvania. He was life-flighted to the hospital in Danville, Pennsylvania. The hospital in Danville preformed an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), which he beat the odds and survived. The hospital in Danville determined that Jameson required immediate medical assistance at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after his procedure. He was again life-flighted to CHOP, where he is currently receiving many life-sustaining measures, while his body hopefully recovers. Jameson has endured many challenges since being found unresponsive. He has suffered two cardiac arrests, several days of fluctuations in his vitals, heart, kidney and lung damage, and is in an HHNS coma. This young man has fought and has quite the fight still ahead of him, as there is a high mortality rate after suffering so much trauma. WHEN he recovers, he will be considered an insulin dependent Diabetic.
A little about Jameson: Jameson is a 14-year-old boy attending Newark Valley Central School District. Jameson has a diagnosis of Down Syndrome. Jameson's friends and teachers describe him as a lover of life! He is hysterical (sometimes unintentionally) and brings a lot of energy to any room he enters. His laugh is infectious! He loves his family, friends, and teachers, and is extremely popular at NVHS! He can't walk down the hall without getting a fist-bump or high-five from a peer.
Please consider helping Jameson and his family, if you are able. These are wonderful people, going through a horrible thing. Any and all support would be much appreciated.
