Jameson's Gunshot Surgery

This is Jameson. He was brought to City Pets Animal Care on Nov. 15 after being shot in the back leg with a shotgun. Jameson sustained 6 fractures in his foot which obliterated the bones, and he has numerous pieces of buckshot embedded in his paw. He needs a surgical amputation of the foot to lead a normal, pain-free and healthy life. His owner asked him to be put to sleep because he did not want to pay for the surgery that Jameson needs. The doctors at City Pets agreed that Jameson should not lose his life over this and they reached out to rescues (specifically Wags and Walks) to help. In the mean time, Jameson's dad left the hospital and would no longer answer our calls or emails, thereby abandoning him at the clinic.

 

Metro Animal Control and the Metro Police Department reached out to Jameson's dad and we quickly found that the address given was fake. At this point, Jameson was considered abandoned. City Pets decided to care for him regardless and Wags and Walks also stepped in to find him a new fur-ever home. This procedure is involved and costly, but we are making sure that Jameson does not suffer as a result of someone else's negligence and abuse. Jameson is the SWEETEST one year old Pit Bull and deserves to live an amazing life!
