My name is Kat and I am raising funds for my sweet godsister, Laura Williams, and her children in the wake of the unexpected tragic loss of her husband, Jamey Williams, at just age 46.

A couple of weeks ago, Jamey suddenly experienced pain and numbness in his arm and called 911. After being rushed to the hospital, the numbness had spread and he could no longer move. He had ruptured the C7 disk on his spine and had surgery to remove the ruptured disk, after which he was paralyzed from his chest down. His doctors were hopeful for his eventual recovery and his family was prepared for the long road of rehab.

In an unbelievably tragic turn of events, Jamey suddenly passed away from complications of his paralyzation just a week later on April 28.

Jamey was the family's primary breadwinner. Laura is now the sole caretaker of their two children, Abby (11) and James (14, and has autism) and has just recently started a new job in education. Your donations will help Laura and her children with medical bills, funeral costs, and putting a new life together in the wake of this immense grief.
