Jamie and Darlene Dorsey

Hi everyone! I want to tell you about a special couple in my life Jamie and Darlene Dorsey. They are the parents of one of my closest friends, Tanya Crummett. If you have ever had the pleasure to meet either one of them, you will learn very quickly that they are the sweetest and most caring individuals around.

Jamie and Darlene used to own Dorsey's Market off of 42N. After they sold the store, Jamie has kept busy by driving a school bus for Augusta County Public Schools, delivering water, and running his mobile t-shirt screening businesses at local events such as ball tournaments, and also officiating at baseball and softball games. Darlene has been his right hand through the screening business by coordinating the purchase of his inventory, among other things.

You may be asking yourself why am I sharing all of this with you, well the answer is this, The Dorsey's need our help. Recently they have been impacted by many health issues. Jamie is currently undergoing chemo treatment for metastatic prostate cancer and Darlene is currently on dialysis after suffering from respiratory failure and kidney failure from Type A Flu. To add to this, this week Darlene fell and broke her femur and she may need surgery and additional rehab.

The Dorsey's, especially Mr. Dorsey has been a staple in our community. He loves interacting with everyone and you will usually see him with a smile even when he is not feeling his best.

As you can imagine, they have and will continue to incur many medical expenses, and I would like to ask that you consider making a financial donation. All proceeds will be donated to the Dorsey's, and I know they will be very appreciative of any support you can provide.
