Jamie Barclay

Hi, my name is Paul Grady and I’ve set this Go Fund Me page up following the untimely passing of our friend Jamie Barclay for people to donate money if they wish to, the proceeds of which will go to his wife Alex to put into a trust fund for Jamie’s children, the youngest of which is just 13.

Jamie was a serving member of the British Army’s intelligence Corps for 12 years serving in the UK and Northern Ireland and on several overseas operations in conflict zones before leaving in 2011 to pursue a career in the financial sector as an information security professional. He worked for Rank Interactive, Aon, HSBC and most recently Berkley Technology Solutions where he worked the last 5 years and was the Chief Information Security Officer.

Jamie was a larger than life character with a big heart. A loyal friend and a devoted family man who doted on his 4 children and his grandson.

Jamie was unexpectedly diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in July and his decline was rapid. He fought valiantly til the end never losing his sense of humour.

He had an instant impact on all who encountered him and his loss will be felt by all those who had the privilege to call him their friend or colleague.
