Jamie H. Boone Memorial

This fundraiser is in honor of Jamie H. Boone, a recent graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Economics with plans to start a one-year Master of Accounting Science program at UIUC this fall. Jamie was also hired to start an internship with KPMG in Chicago as an Audit Intern this summer.

Sadly, Jamie passed away this May shortly after graduation and will be greatly missed by his family, girlfriend, and many friends. Jamie faced health challenges that were both physical and mental. As a child, Jamie lost a few fingers in a moving accident. In his junior year of college, he faced a Type 1 diabetes diagnosis. Despite his struggles, Jamie was generous, funny, and loving.

As his girlfriend, I would like to honor such a kind soul in a way that lasts by buying a memorial bench at Allerton Park. This park was a place that was important to Jamie throughout his life and would be a wonderful place to memorialize him.

The first $5,000 will go to the creation of this bench. Any donations above this amount will honor Jamie by being distributed to the following charities:
