Jamie 'James Castle' Stacey

This fundraiser has been set up in the loving memory of Jamie Stacey, who we sadly lost on Saturday June 15th after a 4 year long battle with Leukaemia.

Jamie will be better known by many as his pro wrestling persona 'The Anarchist' James Castle.

One of the very first students through the door at the RevPro Portsmouth School of Wrestling and the first wrestler trained from scratch to make it onto main shows, Jamie was the definition of a hard worker and a man whom everyone looked up to as a leader. Often being the first one at the venue and the last to leave, it was his work ethic that lead him to great success.

In a world of theatrics and larger than life characters both inside and outside the ring, Jamie was one of the few 'real ones'. He would stand by his principles even if it meant standing alone. He was true to his beliefs.

Jamie was one of the most intelligent & deepest thinkers. He was articulate. He was passionate. He had a tremendous sense of humour and diverse tastes in all aspects of life. Anyone who was lucky enough to call him a friend was truly blessed.

On top of all the trials and tribulations of Covid and beyond, Jamie had been privately, and courageously fighting a battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. A battle he fought with dignity and a strength that hopefully many of us will never need to find.

Throughout all this time Jamie was determined not to reach out to anyone for support, however we feel compelled to do that right now as we know that more than anything he wanted to make sure his wife, Zoe, who has been by his side throughout and been every bit the warrior that he was, doesn't have to worry about anything.
