Jamie Jo Skeen Medical Relief
Donation protected
This is well beyond our family's comfort zone to reach out to others and ask for help. However, I don't know anyone more worthy of donations than my oldest sister Jo. She is a single mom who works hard to provide an independent life for herself and her kids. She always goes the extra mile to make her relationships with others meaningful and magical. To know her is to love her. Right now, she is in a bad way. We had a family dinner Thursday night where she was her bright and happy self. By that evening, she went to bed, not feeling well. Less than 48 hours later, she was being life-flighted to Ogden Regional Hospital to be treated for sepsis (a life-threatening infection) that resulted from contracting Covid. She currently has pneumonia, only one remaining kidney and a nonfunctioning pituitary gland. This morning, she was placed into a coma and on a ventilator. There is no best-case scenario where she will make a full recovery. If she should be released from the hospital, she will likely be on dialysis and require a kidney transplant. The other alternative is this will change from a medical relief fund into a funeral fund. We know that everyone has their own struggles in their lives and financial burdens that they are balancing. However, whatever you are in a position to donate would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small or unappreciated. Jo has a long road ahead of her. It would mean so much if she could find that the front end of her medical bills are paid for when she wakes from her coma. We want her to be able to focus on getting better without the discouraging weight of finances. Thank you so much for all the different ways you send your love and support to our Jamie Jo. We appreciate all the prayers and love going out in her name. God bless!
