Jamie Mazariegos

Hello my name is Elizabeth. On July 4th my 7 year old daughter Ariel, my little sister Jamie who is 14 and a soon to be freshman at Deerfield High School and I went to the Highland Park Parade as we have for many years. This year was no different, we thought it was going to be fun and exciting to see everyone in our community.

Unfortunately it did not go that way. My little sister, Jaime, was shot in the chest. We were able to quickly drive her to the hospital and she is now home with us recovering, but we have been told that it will be a lengthy recovery process.

I'm asking for help so that our living expenses can be paid while my mom takes off work to be with my sister and assist with her recovery.

Although we experienced a tragic and scary event, it is with relief to have her return home for her recovery.

We are wishing all love and safety.

Hola me llamo Elizabeth,

Mi hija Ariel, mi hermana Jamie y yo fuimos al desfile de Highland Park como cada año. Este año esperando que fuera como cada año que íbamos, con alegría de ver a todos en la comunidad. Desafortunadamente no fue así. Mi hermana Jamie recibió un disparo en el pecho y fue llevada al hospital.

Ya esta en casa y se esta recuperando.

Hoy le pedimos si nos pueden ayudar con los gastos de la casa ya que mi mama tomo un tiempo de su trabajo para estar con con mi hermana en su recuperación.
