Jamie’s Rehabilitation

More than an update. This fundraiser was started with the belief that Jamie would not survive to her 19th birthday. She has made it well past that. She was around to see her second niece come into this world, enroll back in school, and is on the functional journey of getting off opioids. It is quite obvious that no one was really knowledgeable enough to predict a timeline for this process.

Our psyche has its ups and downs. We continue to go on outings together, and she can even go out with friends. She continues to need her oxygen cannula on at night and when the weather/outdoors isn’t lung friendly (dust, pollen, humidity, smoke). Donations have been keeping us afloat with all necessary assistance to keep our physical and mental health acceptable; and to assist in new doctor’s appointments, a major upcoming surgery, and the never ending medical bills.
