Jamie's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Jamie Vidales is a musically gifted 16 year old boy who suffered a traumatic brain injury on 9/6/2016. Even though he is my son Hunter's best friend, Jamie is like a second son to me.
This was a freak accident, kids just goofing around, but Jamie fell and hit his head, causing a seizure which led to further injuries.
He is in the pediatric ICU at Mission Hospital where he will be treated for atleast a week. He suffered a fractured skull, bleeding and swelling of the brain, many facial lacerations, a hematoma, and a large contusion on the back of his head. Surgery to reduce brain swelling is still a possibility.
Jamie has a long road of recovery ahead. The doctors say he will miss the entire semester of his junior year in high school as he will require care and therapy for quite some time when he does return home.
His mother, Ramona Vidales, is a single parent of four who works very hard to support her family. Jamie is the baby of the bunch.
Jamie has been playing drums for quite a few years now and he is what you would call a musical prodigy. He also plays guitar and writes songs. We pray that he regains all of his musical abilities over time.
I don't know how much his medical bills will amount to, but they will be astronomical. It would be such a blessing to be able to alleviate some of the cost burden for his mother.
A mother's worst nightmare is something like this happening to her child. I can't begin to imagine what Jamie and his family are going through, but as a mother myself, I want to help in any way possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Jamie. We are so thankful for any and all donations.
May God bless you and yours always!
